Use the announcement feature in Google Classroom to post encouraging or fun messages to your class. Spend 30 min. at the beginning of the school year or semester to create and schedule fun, encouraging messages to your students. This is a simple and effective way to connect with your students on a personal basis. Let them know you are thinking about them during exam week, they are are excited for homecoming, or looking forward to spring break! In this video I use the BitMoji extension to attach a fun, holiday themed image to the announcement.
